BOLTON, MA — A student was found in possession of a CO2-style handgun at Nashoba Regional High School on Friday morning, according to police.
The Bolton Police Department responded to a report of a potential public safety concern involving an allegation that a student had a firearm on school grounds.
School administrators recovered the CO2-style handgun from the student after receiving the report.
Police said there was no ongoing threat to the school community.
The incident did not disrupt school operations, and no lockdown was required.
Police chiefs within the district were notified, and additional resources were made available as needed.
Officers remained on site through the end of the school day to provide support and ensure continued safety.
The juvenile involved was removed from the school and will face charges, according to Acting Chief of Police Kimberly A. Barry.
