BOSTON, MA — Boston police are investigating a series of vehicle break-ins in the Brighton neighborhood since Jan. 1.
District D-14, which covers the Allston and Brighton areas, has reported several larcenies from motor vehicles, all occurring in Brighton, according to a Boston Police Department community alert.
Police are urging residents to keep valuables out of sight, lock their vehicles, and park in well-lit areas with surveillance cameras when possible.
Authorities recommend installing anti-theft devices such as steering wheel locks, car alarms, or immobilizers.
Residents should avoid leaving spare keys inside vehicles and remain vigilant of their surroundings when approaching or leaving their cars.
