Two arrested on weapons charges in Albany, NY

ALBANY, NY — Members of the Albany Police Department executed a search warrant at a residence on Morris Street near New Scotland Avenue on Tuesday around 1:50 p.m. in reference to an ongoing investigation.

During the search warrant, one loaded handgun and one unloaded handgun were recovered from within the residence.

Mark Wray, 27, of Albany was located inside the residence and taken into custody.

He has been charged with one count of criminal possession of a weapon 2nd and one count of criminal possession of a weapon 3rd.

Naphorley Wilson, 30, of Albany was also located inside the residence and taken into custody.

He has been charged with one count of criminal possession of a firearm.

Both were arraigned Wednesday morning in Albany City Criminal Court and remanded to the Albany County Jail.
