Two arrested on drug charges in Utica

UTICA, NY — Two people were arrested on drug charges following a traffic stop on Jan. 17, 2026.

Utica Police officers assigned to the Tactical Unit, partnered with deputies from the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office, conducted a vehicle stop on Blandina Street near John Street at approximately 6:55 p.m. for vehicle and traffic law violations.

Officers observed drug paraphernalia in plain view inside the vehicle while speaking with the occupants.

A search of the vehicle was conducted and officers located felony-level narcotics.

The female driver and male passenger were taken into custody and transported to the Utica Police Department.

Jenna Jones, 29, of Utica, was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fourth degree, criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree and vehicle and traffic law violations.

Anthony Dougher, 54, of Old Forge, was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fourth degree and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree.
