Hit-and-run crash injures pedestrian in Cranston

CRANSTON, RI — Police are seeking the public’s help following a hit-and-run crash that left a woman seriously injured.

The incident occurred at approximately 5:19 p.m. on January 11, 2026, at the intersection of Budlong Road and Everett Road.

A husband and wife were crossing Everett Road when a silver or gray SUV traveling southbound passed a stopped vehicle and drove through the intersection without headlights on, according to police.

The vehicle struck both pedestrians and fled the scene.

The husband was not injured.

The wife sustained serious leg and foot injuries and was transported to Rhode Island Hospital.

The vehicle is believed to be a silver or gray Honda CR-V.

Investigators have obtained video and an image of the vehicle and are expanding the search using Flock camera technology.

Anyone who witnessed the crash or has surveillance video from the area is asked to contact the Cranston Police Traffic Division at 401-942-2211.
