ROME, NY — Police are investigating a threat made toward Strough Middle School on Monday.
The Rome Police Department was notified of the alleged threat earlier in the day.
An initial investigation determined the threat was not credible, according to police.
The Rome Police Department and Rome City School District said they take every threat seriously and investigate each incident thoroughly.
Police will have an increased presence at the Strough Middle School campus on Tuesday.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
