HOMER, NY — A Syracuse man was arrested early Friday on an outstanding felony warrant while sitting in a vehicle in a business parking lot.

James P. Tucker, 43, of Syracuse, was taken into custody at approximately 1:57 a.m. at 125 S. Main St.

A Homer police officer conducting property checks on businesses along South Main Street observed a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of a closed business.

Upon encountering two occupants in the vehicle, the officer determined Tucker had an active arrest warrant from the Oswego Police Department.

The warrant was for criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, a class B felony.

Oswego police confirmed the warrant, and Tucker was taken into custody without incident.

Tucker was turned over to the Oswego Police Department and released on Jan. 20.
