Search warrant executed in North Adams

NORTH ADAMS, MA — Members of the North Adams Police Department, Berkshire County Drug Task Force and Berkshire County Special Response Team executed a search warrant at 221 Church Street on Friday.

Investigators located a total of seven people inside the residence.

Imari Williams was located in a bathroom where it appeared to investigators that he had flushed amounts of cocaine down the toilet.

Areas of the bathroom as well as Williams’ hands were coated in a white powder residue believed to be cocaine.

Investigators seized approximately 4,440 bags of heroin/fentanyl totaling approximately 88 grams, approximately $2,288 in U.S. currency, functioning digital scales and cocaine distribution materials.

Williams, of Springfield, Massachusetts, was arrested on charges of trafficking heroin/fentanyl (36-100 grams), possession with intent to distribute Class B, conspiracy and destruction of evidence.

Zachary Ackerman, of North Adams, was arrested on charges of trafficking heroin/fentanyl (36-100 grams), possession with intent to distribute Class B and conspiracy.

Caitlin Morse, of North Adams, was arrested on charges of trafficking heroin/fentanyl (36-100 grams), possession with intent to distribute Class B and conspiracy.

David Cellana, of North Adams, was arrested on three arrest warrants.
