FALMOUTH, ME — Maine State Police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred Saturday afternoon on the Falmouth Spur.
Troopers responded at approximately 1:57 p.m. to a motor vehicle crash on the Falmouth Spur eastbound near the on-ramp to Interstate 295 north.
A white 2013 Subaru Impreza had gone off the road into the guardrail, according to police.
The driver, identified as Joamaliz Orozco, 19, of East Hartford, Connecticut, was found trapped inside the vehicle.
Orozco was transported to Maine Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.
Weather and road conditions are thought to be the primary cause of the crash, police said.
The investigation is ongoing.
Falmouth Fire and Rescue, Maine Department of Transportation and Stewarts Towing assisted at the scene.
