DOVER, NH — A Tilton man died Friday after being struck by a pickup truck in an active work zone on Route 16.
State Troopers assigned to the Troop A and Troop G barracks responded to the crash at 10:30 a.m. on Jan. 16, 2026.
The preliminary investigation determined that a 2020 Ford Super Duty pickup truck, driven by Ryan Prescott, 35, of Manchester, struck a worker while reversing.
Emergency responders attempted life-saving measures on the worker, identified as Everett Martin, 65, of Tilton.
Martin died as a result of injuries suffered in the collision.
His family has been notified.
Troopers were assisted on scene by members of the Dover Fire Department, the New Hampshire Department of Transportation, and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
One lane of Route 16 northbound was shut down for more than three hours while the crash was investigated.
All lanes have since reopened.
No charges have been filed at this time.
