MIDDLETOWN SPRINGS, VT — A New York man sustained suspected minor injuries after his vehicle overturned on a snow-covered road Saturday morning.
Troopers from the Rutland Barracks were notified of a single-vehicle crash on South Street near Hundred Acre Lane at approximately 9:24 a.m. on Jan. 17, 2026.
Stephen Eggart, 42, of Bohemia, New York, was traveling northbound on South Street when he was unable to maintain his lane of travel, according to police.
His 2018 GMC Acadia exited the left side of the roadway and overturned.
Eggart was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
The vehicle sustained moderate damage to the left fender and front bumper.
Weather conditions at the time included clouds and snow, with snow-covered roads.
The Middletown Springs Fire Department assisted Vermont State Police at the scene.
A Vermont Civil Violation Complaint is pending.
