LAGRANGE, ME — The Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at a residence on Town Road on Jan. 15, leading to two arrests on firearms charges.
The search warrant was executed at approximately 8 p.m. with assistance from the Maine State Police Tactical Team.
The action stemmed from an ongoing investigation into the illegal possession of firearms by convicted felons with multiple prior weapons offenses, as well as drug trafficking activities.
Multiple firearms were recovered during the search, and suspected drugs were located.
The suspected drugs will be submitted for further laboratory testing.
Richard Stacker, 53, of New York and Lagrange, was arrested at the scene.
Ferdinand Nazario, 56, of New York and Lagrange, was also arrested at the scene.
Both individuals were charged with possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, a Class C felony under Maine law.
The Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office was assisted in the operation by the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency, Homeland Security Investigations, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives.
The investigation remains active.
