One dead, three injured in Ringwood house fire

RINGWOOD, NJ — A 74-year-old woman died in a residential fire early Thursday morning that sent three other people to the hospital.

The Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office was notified of the fire at 30 Peters Mine Road at approximately 6:30 a.m.

Seven residents were able to exit the house, with three of them transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center.

The 74-year-old woman from Ringwood was unable to exit the structure and was subsequently found deceased.

Members of the Ringwood Police Department and Fire Prevention Bureau responded to the scene.

The investigation is active and ongoing.

Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Ringwood Chief of Police Ronald Porta are leading the investigation.
