Man arrested on robbery charge in Concord

CONCORD, NH — Police arrested a man accused of robbing a convenience store and assaulting a clerk on Jan. 15.

The Concord Police Department responded to the Speedway at 15 Hall Street at approximately 11:25 a.m. to investigate a robbery call.

A male suspect allegedly stole merchandise from the store and pushed the clerk out of the way before exiting, according to police.

Officers collected evidence at the scene and searched the surrounding area for the suspect.

Officer LeBlanc and K-9 Charlie also searched the area.

K-9 Charlie located the suspect behind a jersey barrier under a nearby bridge.

Police identified the suspect as Blake Erickson, 47, of Concord.

Erickson was charged with robbery, a felony, theft by unauthorized taking or transfer, a misdemeanor, and simple assault, a misdemeanor.

The arrest was the first credited to K-9 Charlie, according to the Concord Police Department.
