Man arrested on disorderly conduct charge in Exeter

EXETER, RI — State Police arrested a Warwick man on a disorderly conduct charge following a disturbance report.

Pedro Madrid, 37, of Warwick, was arrested at 7:52 a.m. after troopers responded to Pine View Lane for a report of a disturbance.

Madrid was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed and later transported to Fourth District Court for arraignment.

Man arrested on child abuse charge in Exeter

EXETER, RI — State Police arrested a local man on a second-degree child abuse charge following a barracks investigation.

Lee Conti, 38, of Exeter, was arrested at 3:50 p.m. after troopers conducted an investigation and a subsequent residence check.

Conti was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by a justice of the peace, and released with a future Fourth District Court date.

Woman arrested on DUI charge in West Greenwich

WEST GREENWICH, RI — State Police arrested a Connecticut woman on drunken driving charges following a traffic stop.

Nuris M. Marcano Marcano, 56, of Voluntown, Connecticut, was arrested at 11:18 p.m. on Route 95.

She was charged with driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor and or drugs, B.A.C. unknown, first offense, and refusal to submit to a chemical test, first offense.

Marcano Marcano was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks where she was processed, arraigned by a justice of the peace, and released with a notice to appear in Third Division District Court.

WEST GREENWICH, RI — State Police arrested a Providence man on drunken driving charges following a traffic stop.

Johnlenny A. Tejada, 33, of Providence, was arrested at 2:36 a.m. on Route 95.

He was charged with driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor and or drugs, B.A.C. unknown, first offense, and refusal to submit to a chemical test, first offense.

Tejada was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by a justice of the peace, and released with a notice to appear in Third Division District Court.

Man arrested on weapons charges in Exeter

EXETER, RI — State Police arrested a South Kingstown man on multiple weapons charges following an investigation into a disturbance.

Andrew J. Hammond, 34, of South Kingstown, was arrested at 4:12 a.m. following an investigation at 8 Mail Road.

He was charged with possession of a firearm by certain persons prohibited, five counts; manufacture, sell, purchase, or possession of a ghost gun; modification of semi-automatic weapon; and large capacity feeding devices prohibited, eight counts.

Hammond was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed and held pending morning arraignment.
