PROVIDENCE, RI — Rhode Island State Police arrested two people on Thursday in connection with a motor vehicle accident investigation on Route 6.
Mason E. Hart, 26, of Norwich, Connecticut, was arrested at 4:36 p.m. and charged with violation of a no contact order and duty to stop for an accident resulting in damage to an attended vehicle.
Hart was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned and released pending a future date at the Sixth Division District Court.
Mia C. Alfred, 23, of Baltic, Connecticut, was also arrested at 4:36 p.m. and charged with violation of a no contact order in connection with the same accident investigation.

In a separate incident early Friday at 1:27 a.m., troopers arrested Jonathan Vanover, 37, of Cranston, during a motor vehicle stop on Cranston Street in Providence.
Vanover was arrested on six Providence Superior Court bench warrants for failure to appear for sentencing on technical violations.
The charges include domestic violence unlawful breaking and entering originating from the Pawtucket Police Department, domestic violence simple assault originating from the Pawtucket Police Department, unlawful breaking and entering originating from the Central Falls Police Department, two counts of domestic violence strangulation originating from the Smithfield Police Department, and manufacturing/delivery/possession with intent to deliver originating from the Pawtucket Police Department.
Vanover was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and later transported to the Adult Correctional Institution Men’s Intake Center.
