COLONIE, NY — A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle on Central Avenue on Wednesday evening.
Cornelius Morrison, 77, of Albany, was hit near 1157 Central Avenue at approximately 5:34 p.m. Jan. 14.
Morrison was transported by Colonie EMS to Albany Medical Center Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The driver of the vehicle was not impaired and is cooperating fully with the investigation, according to the Colonie Police Department.
No criminal charges have been filed or are expected to be filed related to the crash.
The investigation is ongoing to determine what factors contributed to the crash.
