SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — South Windsor police arrested a local woman on an active warrant stemming from a December drunk driving incident.
Lisa Halpin, 54, of South Windsor, turned herself in at police headquarters at 5:01 p.m. Tuesday.
Halpin faces charges of operating under the influence and driving the wrong way on a divided highway.
The charges stem from a motor vehicle accident in December in the area of John Fitch Boulevard and Governor’s Highway.
During the investigation, Halpin admitted she had consumed too much to drink, police said.
Police determined Halpin was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes of John Fitch Boulevard.
Halpin was processed and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.
She is scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court on Feb. 2 at 9 a.m.
