NORTH BRANFORD, CT — A man was arrested on an outstanding warrant on Jan. 13, 2026.
Hector Felix-Melendez, 45, of Hamden, was taken into custody by the North Branford Police Department.
Felix-Melendez was charged with Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material in the First Degree, in violation of Connecticut General Statutes § 53a-196d(3).
He was held on a court-set bond of $200,000.
Felix-Melendez was transported to 121 Elm Street in New Haven to appear before the court.
The arrest resulted from an investigation conducted by the North Branford Police Department Detective Bureau, led by Detective Craig Miller.
The Patrol Division, the New Haven State’s Attorney’s Office and collaborating state and federal law enforcement agencies assisted in the investigation.
Multiple search warrants were executed during the course of the investigation, which led to the identification and arrest of the accused.
