NEW HARTFORD, NY — Police are investigating two attempted robberies that occurred at businesses on Kellogg Road.
Officers responded to the 7-Eleven Convenience Store at approximately 7 p.m. after receiving a 911 call reporting an attempted robbery.
While officers were responding, a second attempted robbery was reported at a nearby McDonald’s on Kellogg Road.
A male suspect displayed a weapon during the attempted robbery at 7-Eleven in an attempt to obtain property from a sales associate, according to police.
The suspect fled and reportedly went to McDonald’s, where a weapon was again threatened as the suspect attempted to steal from a sales associate.
Officers, including the New Hartford Police K9 Unit, conducted a search of the area and developed further information regarding both incidents.
The investigation is ongoing with assistance from the New Hartford Police Department Criminal Investigation Division.
No one was injured during either incident.
