BOURNE, MA — A pedestrian was struck by a motor vehicle at the intersection of Shore Road and Barlow’s Landing Road on Monday evening.
Officers from the Bourne Police Department responded to the scene at approximately 5:16 p.m. for a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle.
A 72-year-old man from Bourne was struck by a gray 2015 Ford Fiesta operated by an 83-year-old woman from Bourne.
The vehicle was turning left onto Shore Road from Barlow’s Landing Road when it struck the man at low speed while he was in the crosswalk.
Officers arrived on scene with Bourne Fire/Rescue and began rendering aid to the victim.
The man was transported to an area hospital for treatment of what appear to be non-life threatening injuries.
The female operator of the vehicle was cited.
