SCITUATE, RI — State Police arrested a Connecticut man on multiple sex-related charges involving a minor.
Troopers arrested Keyon Williams, 22, of Hartford, Connecticut, at 10 p.m. at the Scituate Barracks.
Williams faces charges of third degree sexual assault (two counts), indecent solicitation of a child (two counts), electronically disseminating indecent material to a minor, and cyberstalking and cyberharassment.
The arrest resulted from an investigation conducted by Trooper Degnan.
The Attorney General’s Office requested a Superior Court bench warrant under Rule 9.
Williams surrendered to authorities and was arraigned in Providence Superior Court.
In a separate incident, troopers arrested Sheyla Rodriguez Batres, 20, of Providence, at 5:50 a.m. for driving with a suspended license.
The arrest occurred after troopers responded to a motor vehicle accident on Route 6 in Johnston.
Rodriguez Batres was transported to State Police Headquarters, processed and held overnight pending morning arraignment.
She was presented as a bail violator.
