PROCTOR, VT — Vermont State Police arrested a woman on trespassing charges after responding to a report of a burglary in progress at a residence on Willow Street on Jan. 11, 2026.
Troopers arrived at the scene at 10:53 p.m. and found a female inside the residence.
The woman was taken into custody without incident and identified as Aaliyah Medina, 22, of Brandon.
Police determined Medina had active court-ordered conditions of release prohibiting her from consuming alcohol.
Medina was found to be under the influence of alcohol at the time of her arrest.
She was transported to the Rutland Barracks for processing.
Medina was charged with unlawful trespass and violation of conditions of release.
The victims were identified as Deborah Jones, 67, of Proctor, and Andrea Jones, 61, of Proctor.
The court issued additional conditions of release.
Medina was held at Marble Valley Correctional Facility in lieu of $500 bail.
