LAKEWOOD, NJ — A 54-year-old man was arrested on narcotics charges following a motor vehicle stop on Jan. 10, 2026.
Lakewood Police officers were conducting proactive patrol in an area known for narcotics activity at approximately 10:25 p.m. when they observed behavior consistent with possible drug-related activity involving a motor vehicle and a pedestrian.
Officers initiated a motor vehicle stop and conducted further investigation based on their observations.
Officers recovered suspected controlled dangerous substances from one individual during the investigation.
Shawn Labarge, 54, of Lakewood, was taken into custody without incident.
Labarge was charged on a warrant with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and loitering to obtain CDS.
