JAY, VT — A man was arrested at Jay Peak Resort on a fugitive from justice charge.
Robert McGowan, 55, of Jay, was taken into custody at approximately 11:50 a.m. Saturday after Vermont State Police became aware he had an extraditable warrant out of Florida.
The arrest warrant was for four counts of possession of sexual performance by a child under Florida law, with bail set at $100,000.
Troopers located and arrested McGowan shortly after learning of the warrant.
McGowan was transported to the Vermont State Police Derby Barracks for processing.
He was later lodged at Northern State Correctional Facility without bail.
McGowan is scheduled to be arraigned in Orleans County Criminal Court on Sunday at 12:30 p.m.
