Man arrested on domestic assault charges in Waitsfield

WAITSFIELD, VT — The Vermont State Police arrested a Granville man on multiple charges following a domestic disturbance investigation.

On Jan. 10 at approximately 8:10 a.m., the Vermont State Police Berlin Barracks received a report of a domestic disturbance that occurred on North Fayston Road in Waitsfield.

Troopers from the Berlin Barracks responded and conducted an investigation.

The investigation revealed that Richard H. Gaboury II, 36, of Granville, assaulted a domestic partner and caused them to fear for their safety.

On Jan. 11, troopers from the Royalton Barracks located and arrested Gaboury without incident.

Gaboury was charged with domestic assault, interference with access to emergency services and grand larceny.

He was transported to the Royalton Barracks for processing.

Gaboury was released with a criminal citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Washington County, Criminal Division on Jan. 12 at 12:30 p.m. to answer to the charges.
