MILFORD, MA — A Milford man faces multiple charges after allegedly crashing into a church fence and fleeing the scene early Sunday morning.
A Milford Police Department sergeant patrolling Main Street observed a black Ford Fusion traveling at a high rate of speed on East Main Street at approximately 2:10 a.m. on Jan. 11, 2026.
The vehicle spun out of control while attempting to navigate the curve in front of Sacred Heart Church, jumped the curb and struck the iron fence along the church parking lot.
The driver left the scene as the officer arrived at the vehicle before coming to a stop on Hayward Street.
Officers arrested Jose Vallejo, 40, of Milford, following a brief investigation.
Vallejo was charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, leaving the scene of property damage, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and speeding at a rate greater than was reasonable.
