Two found dead in Wildwood Crest

WILDWOOD CREST, NJ — Authorities have released preliminary findings in the deaths of two people discovered in a residence earlier this month.

Donald Miller, 79, and Marion Miller, 79, both of Wildwood Crest, were found deceased on Jan. 7 inside a home in the 300 block of East Atlanta Avenue.

Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey H. Sutherland and Wildwood Crest Police Chief Robert Lloyd announced the update Thursday.

Detectives from the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office and the Wildwood Crest Police Department conducted a comprehensive investigation that included witness interviews, forensic analysis and post-mortem examinations by the Southern Regional Medical Examiner’s Office.

Preliminary findings indicate Marion Miller’s death resulted from a single fatal gunshot wound.

Donald Miller’s death resulted from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to the preliminary findings.

Authorities said there is no threat to the public.

The investigation remains ongoing pending final forensic and medical examiner reports.
