MIDDLESEX, NY — A 69-year-old man was arrested on a driving while intoxicated charge following a motor vehicle accident Wednesday afternoon.
Albert E. Carmichael, of Rushville, was taken into custody after Yates County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a reported crash on East Lake Road at Townline Road in the Town of Middlesex at 2:26 p.m.
Upon arrival, deputies made contact with Carmichael, who displayed several signs of intoxication, according to a press release from the Yates County Sheriff’s Office.
Carmichael was arrested and submitted to a chemical test before being transported to the Yates County Public Safety Building for processing.
He was charged with driving while intoxicated and moved from lane unsafely.
Carmichael was issued tickets and released to appear in court at a later date.
