LOCKPORT, NY — Four men were arrested after deputies investigated reports of homes and vehicles being egged over two consecutive nights in the Town of Lockport.
The Niagara County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of damaged property in the 6600 block of Royal Parkway South at 10:46 p.m. on Jan. 8, 2026.
Deputies were then dispatched to the 100 block of Whispering Pines Drive for similar reports.
Upwards of 20 homeowners reported damage to their homes and vehicles, according to the sheriff’s office.
Egg cartons and other evidence were discarded on the streets in the affected neighborhoods, which included Royal Parkway South, Village Parkway, Harvest Ridge Way, Jim Kelly Drive, Whispering Pines Drive and Forest Hill Drive.
An investigation led to the arrests of John K. Taylor, 18, of Newfane; Benjamin B. Mckenzie, 19, of Newfane; Peter J. Blake, 18, of Newfane; and Cain D. Smeal, 18, of Newfane.
They are charged with criminal mischief in the fourth degree and multiple counts of criminal tampering in the third degree, both misdemeanors.
All four were released on appearance tickets.
Further charges are pending as deputies continue to follow up with numerous residents.
