LAKEWOOD, NJ — A Monroe Township woman has been charged with third-degree theft following an investigation into a missing courier delivery.
Jordain Carson, 31, of Monroe Township, was identified as the courier involved in the incident, according to the Lakewood Police Department.
An employee of a Lakewood business reported on Nov. 17 that merchandise sent out for same-day delivery was never received by the intended recipient.
The business routinely uses a third-party courier service for local deliveries, and a pickup had been scheduled on Sept. 30.
Delivery records later showed the shipment was marked as delivered to an incorrect location.
Attempts to contact both the courier and the delivery service were unsuccessful.
Officer Johnson took the initial report.
Detective Stefanelli handled the investigation and reviewed delivery records, documentation and surveillance images related to the pickup.
