BUFFALO, NY — A 46-year-old Buffalo man was arrested after patrols responded to a reported burglary-in-progress at Don Juan Mexican Restaurant.
The owners called 911, stating there was a male outside who was using an unknown object to try to smash in the windows and doors.
The offender was still outside the building when officers arrived, and they swiftly took him into custody.
He was unsuccessful in breaking in, but he did damage a vehicle in the parking lot and knocked a light fixture off of one of the walls.
He was charged with Attempted Burglary in the 3rd Degree, Criminal Mischief in the 3rd Degree, Criminal Mischief in the 4th Degree and Possession of Burglar’s Tools, arraigned and remanded to the Erie County Holding Center.
