Woman arrested at hospital in Jamestown

JAMESTOWN, NY — Officers responded to UPMC Chautauqua for an unwanted person at around 12:20 a.m. on January 7, 2026.

Upon arrival, officers made contact with Heather Babyak, 55, of Jamestown.

During the on-scene investigation, it was found that Babyak became disorderly inside the hospital and caused damage to a wall.

Babyak was then taken into custody without incident and transported to the Jamestown City Jail, where she is being held pending arraignment.

Babyak is charged with Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree.
