WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ — Police arrested a 64-year-old man from Oxford Township on a charge of driving while intoxicated Sunday.
At approximately 3:25 p.m., patrol officers responded to a reported motor vehicle accident at Brass Castle Road and Route 57 in which a vehicle struck a telephone pole.
Upon arrival and subsequent investigation, the driver was taken into custody after displaying signs of impairment.
While processing the man at headquarters, breath testing revealed his blood alcohol content to be 0.10 percent.
He was issued motor vehicle summonses relating to the incident and released with a mandatory court date.
