ROME, NY — A woman was arrested after allegedly driving her vehicle toward a police officer at a self-storage facility Saturday.
Members of the Rome Police Department’s Patrol Division responded to a request for a peace officer at a facility located at 1226 Floyd Avenue at approximately [time not provided] on Jan. 4.
During the incident, Kelsey J. Madore, 26, of [city not provided], intentionally drove her vehicle toward an officer on scene, according to police.
The officer was able to move out of the vehicle’s path but was struck by the passenger-side mirror.
The officer did not sustain any injuries as a result of the incident.
Madore was taken into custody on scene and transported to the Rome Police Department.
She was charged with attempted assault in the second degree, a felony offense.
Madore was transported to Oneida County Centralized Arraignment to appear before a judge.
