Man fatally shot in Mattapan

BOSTON, MA — A 37-year-old man was shot and killed early Monday morning in the Mattapan neighborhood.

Officers assigned to District B-3 responded to a radio call for a person shot in the area of 24 Stow Road at approximately 12:12 a.m. on Jan. 5, 2026.

Upon arrival, officers located Alex DeAndrade, 37, of Brockton, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Boston EMS transported DeAndrade to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.

The Boston Police Department’s Homicide Unit is actively investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding the incident.
