Man arrested on warrant charges in Providence

PROVIDENCE, RI — A Providence man was arrested on outstanding warrant charges following a traffic stop on Jan. 23.

Juan Sanabria, 25, of Providence, was taken into custody at 1:32 p.m. on Sterling Avenue, according to Rhode Island State Police.

Sanabria was arrested on two failure to appear for arraignment charges.

The first warrant stemmed from an original charge of reckless driving and other offenses against public safety, first offense, originating from the State Police Hope Valley Barracks.

The second warrant was for failure to appear on an original charge of driving after denial, suspension or revocation of license for certain violations, first offense, originating from the Narragansett Police Department.

Sanabria was transported to Rhode Island State Police headquarters for processing.

He was later transported to the Adult Correctional Institutions Men’s Intake facility.
