HYANNIS, MA — A 41-year-old man was arrested Friday on multiple drug trafficking charges following the execution of a search warrant at his residence.
Liam Bassett, of Hyannis, was taken into custody at his home after an extensive investigation by the Barnstable Police Investigative Services Division and agents from the DEA Cape Cod Resident Office.
The investigation targeted narcotics activity in the East End of Main Street in Hyannis.
Police seized fentanyl, cocaine, psilocybin mushrooms, Adderall and a large sum of U.S. currency during the search.
Bassett was charged with trafficking cocaine in 36 grams or more/less than 100 grams, trafficking fentanyl in 18 grams more/less than 36 grams, possession to distribute a Class C substance, possession to distribute a Class B substance and possession of a Class B substance.
He was held on $25,000 cash bail before being arraigned Monday at Barnstable District Court.
Following his arraignment, Bassett was ordered held pending a dangerousness hearing scheduled for Jan. 12.
The Cape & Islands District Attorney’s Office is prosecuting the case.
