FAIRLEE, VT — Vermont State Police responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence on Fern Hill Lane on Jan. 5, 2026, at 6:59 p.m.
Upon arrival, troopers investigated and determined that a physical altercation had taken place.
The incident escalated when Joseph Pellegrino, 49, of Orford, New Hampshire, brandished a firearm at two victims, according to police.
The victims were identified as William Bohan, 33, of Fairlee, and Dale Bohan, 65, of Bradford.
Pellegrino was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated assault and two counts of reckless endangerment.
He was transported to the St. Johnsbury Barracks for processing.
Pellegrino was lodged at the Northeast Regional Correctional Facility in lieu of $500 bail.
