BROCKPORT, NY — Police responded to a Main Street address for a domestic incident that resulted in a stabbing on the evening of Jan. 2, 2026.
Upon arrival, officers located a 48-year-old man suffering from a stab wound to the abdomen.
The victim was transported by Monroe Ambulance to Strong Memorial Hospital for emergency surgery.
The incident resulted in the arrest of Bertha Kelley, 73, of Brockport.
Kelley was charged with assault in the first degree, a Class B felony.
She was processed by police and transported to the Monroe County Jail pending arraignment.
Kelley was arraigned by City Court Judge Barrett and released to pretrial services.
