NORWICH, NY — A 30-year-old man was arrested on a warrant and drug charge following a domestic dispute investigation.
Richard S. Garreau, of Norwich, was taken into custody by the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office on Jan. 1.
Deputies responded to a report of a domestic dispute in the town of Norwich and found that Garreau had left the scene before their arrival.
Officers obtained an arrest warrant for Garreau.
He later returned to the scene and was taken into custody without incident.
When arrested, Garreau was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and fentanyl, according to the sheriff’s office.
Garreau was charged with harassment in the second degree and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree.
He was arraigned in Centralized Arraignment and released on his own recognizance.
