SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — Police arrested a 53-year-old man after a domestic dispute at a residence on Dec. 30.
Augustine Mercado, of South Windsor, was taken into custody at 10 p.m. following a reported verbal altercation between a dating couple who lived together.
Officers responded to the residence after receiving a report of the dispute.
An investigation determined Mercado spit in the face of the victim during the argument.
Mercado was issued a misdemeanor summons and released on a promise to appear.
He appeared in Manchester Superior Court on Dec. 31 at 9 a.m.
