FAIR HAVEN, VT — A New York man was arrested as a fugitive from justice after a traffic stop late Friday night.
Brian J. Bain II, 34, of Putnam Station, New York, was taken into custody at 11:38 p.m. on Washington Street.
Police stopped Bain for defective equipment on his vehicle.
Officers learned Bain was wanted on an arrest warrant issued by the New York State Department of Corrections on Nov. 26, 2025, for a parole violation.
Bain was lodged at the Marble Valley Correctional Center.
Patrolman Shane Carvey investigated the case with assistance from Chief William Humphries and Castleton Patrolman Justin Szarejko.
