ROME, NY — A Rome man was ticketed after a two-vehicle crash on State Route 365 on Jan. 3, 2026.
Road Patrol Deputies responded to the area of State Route 365 just east of Greenway New London Road at around 7:18 p.m. for a reported motor vehicle accident with injuries, according to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol.
Deputies determined that Roan Scott, 22, of Rome, was operating a 2020 Mitsubishi westbound on State Route 365 when he failed to move to the right lane for a Rockers Auto tow truck.
The 2023 Ford tow truck was attempting to winch a disabled vehicle out of the median and back onto the roadway when it was struck.
The tow truck was operated by Caleb Bush, 19, of Oneida.
Scott’s vehicle spun around and partially exited the northern shoulder of the roadway, coming to rest facing eastbound.
Scott was transported to Wynn Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
Scott was issued tickets returnable to Rome City Court for a later date.
Rockers Auto towed Scott’s vehicle from the scene.
Deputies were assisted on the scene by the Rome Fire Department, AmCare Ambulance and Rockers Towing.
