NORTH HAVEN, CT — A New Haven woman was arrested Dec. 30 on multiple traffic-related charges stemming from an October traffic stop in which she allegedly fled from police.
Lashiya Robinson, 22, of New Haven, was taken into custody at her workplace and charged with interfering with an officer, violation of unreadable registration plate, operation of a motor vehicle while under suspension, reckless driving, operation of a motor vehicle without a license, failure to drive in a proper lane and failure to obey a traffic signal.
North Haven patrol officers conducted a traffic stop in late October after observing a vehicle with an obscured dealer registration plate.
During the stop, Robinson provided inconsistent identifying information and was determined to be operating without a valid driver’s license, according to police.
Robinson did not comply with lawful commands and fled the scene, police said.
The vehicle was operated in a reckless manner, traveling through a red traffic signal and narrowly avoiding a school bus before continuing at a high rate of speed, according to police.
Officers did not pursue Robinson after positively identifying her during the stop.
An arrest warrant was obtained as a result of the investigation.
