Parole fugitive sought in Laconia

LACONIA, NH — State corrections officials are searching for a parole fugitive who failed to report last month.

Mark Anthony Monsante is wanted for absconding from parole on or about Nov. 7, according to the New Hampshire Department of Corrections.

Monsante was originally charged with sales of methamphetamine and was found guilty of possession of methamphetamine.

He has a history of assaults, drug use and possession of controlled drugs, according to corrections officials.

Based on his criminal history, Monsante could be considered dangerous with violent tendencies if approached, officials said.

Monsante has ties to the Lakes Region area, specifically Laconia, and is known to have relatives in the Canaan and Lebanon areas.
