ENFIELD, NH — A 23-year-old woman faces multiple charges after allegedly assaulting police officers and firefighters following a single-vehicle crash on Dec. 28.
Officers from the Lebanon Police Department responded to the area of Interstate 89, Exit 16, at approximately 10:34 p.m. for a report of a crash with injuries.
The crash occurred in Enfield just prior to Exit 16, according to police.
Officers found the vehicle unoccupied and began searching for the occupants.
While officers searched the area, a member of the public reported a disturbance at the Evans Express Mart gas station located off Exit 16.
Officers responded and learned that a female inside the store was not wearing shoes, appeared intoxicated and was asking customers for rides.
The store clerk reported that the female had assaulted him and ran into a restricted area of the business.
Officers located the female inside a back office of the store and identified her as Aspen Moulton, of Enfield.
Moulton was initially taken into custody without incident but became combative while being escorted from the store, police said.
She assaulted a Lebanon police officer by kicking him in the leg, according to police.
Additional officers from the Lebanon Police Department and the Enfield Police Department responded to assist.
During her continued resistance, Moulton kicked a second Lebanon police officer in the face, causing facial injuries, police said.
Moulton was transported by the Lebanon Fire Department to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center for evaluation.
While in the ambulance, she continued to be assaultive toward Lebanon Fire Department personnel, according to police.
One Lebanon police officer was treated and released from the hospital.
Moulton has been charged with second degree assault, a class B felony, three counts of simple assault, resisting arrest and criminal trespass.
On Dec. 29, Moulton was processed by the Enfield Police Department and transported to the Grafton County House of Corrections.
She is scheduled to be arraigned in Lebanon District Court on Dec. 30.
The motor vehicle crash remains under investigation by the New Hampshire State Police.
