ALBANY, NY — Two Albany residents were arrested on weapon charges following a traffic stop on Fourth Avenue late Sunday night.
State Police stopped a vehicle on Fourth Avenue at about 10:49 p.m. for a vehicle and traffic law violation.
Kelsey Johnson, 33, of Albany, was identified as the driver and Nathan Moore, 55, of Albany, as the passenger.
Further investigation led to the discovery and seizure of an illegally possessed loaded handgun in the vehicle.
Johnson was charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd and vehicle and traffic law violations.
Moore was charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd.
Both were arrested and transported to State Police Latham.
They were then transported to the Albany County Correctional Facility to await arraignment.
