SUNAPEE, NH — The Sunapee Fire Department responded to 42 storm-related calls over a two-day period, officials said.

The department responded to eight calls on the second day of storm response, according to a statement released by the fire department and Sunapee Police Department.

Officials said they will post a complete storm summary and response map once storm-related calls cease.

The fire department warned residents not to drive around barricades or coned-off roads and not to drive over live wires.

Roads that are barricaded or coned off are closed for a reason, officials said.

The fire department and power and cable companies are working to reopen roads as soon as possible, according to the statement.

Residents who encounter a downed wire or tree should report it to dispatch at 603-526-2626.
