Man arrested on DUI charge in Cumberland

CUMBERLAND, RI — A Massachusetts man was arrested on drunken driving charges following a motor vehicle accident on Route 295 South.

Andre Kraft, 39, of Millbury, Massachusetts, was arrested at 10:03 p.m. and charged with driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor and/or drugs, first offense, and refusal to submit to a chemical test, first offense.

State troopers responded to the accident scene on the highway.

Kraft was processed at State Police Headquarters and arraigned by a justice of the peace.

He was released with a future Sixth Division District Court date.
